Wildberry Lodge & Spa

Botanical Gardens  ◈  Butterfly Conservatory

Centered in the magnificent Hudson River Valley in New Paltz, New York directly off of Exit 18 on the NYS Thruway, the 57 acre site is planned as a Napa-style destination with a themed 140 room boutique hotel and 10,000-square-foot catering and conference center. The Spa & Wellness Center will include a full-service spa, complete with 10-14 therapy rooms, open space studio for Yoga, Pilates, and Meditation, fitness center, mineral springs, and an indoor-to-outdoor pool. The Spa & Wellness Center will be available to hotel guests and members of the public by reservation, with hotel guests receiving priority bookings. Our very own Adventure ConciergeTM will guide visitors to the best natural wonders, historic sites, orchards, galleries, and so much more that the Hudson Valley has to offer.

There are two event, catering and conference facilities planned. At 3,000-square-feet, the first space is designed for smaller events of up to 150 attendees and will be built into the core of the hotel. The second, a multi-purpose space in a stand-alone, 10,000-square-foot ‘modern barn’ style structure will be designed to host medium-scale events for approximately 400 attendees, with the ability to allow for breakout rooms to host simultaneous meetings.

A boutique restaurant approximately 3,000-square-feet in size will be attached to the hotel’s lobby, complete with a demonstration kitchen. Based on future demand, another 3,000-square-foot standalone restaurant may be located next to the larger event and conference facility. Both restaurants will be open to the public.

Extensive landscape design will include sculpture gardens, lush plantings, water features and artisanal studios located throughout the property as well as a bird watching sanctuary for visitors to enjoy.

The Butterfly Conservatory, at approximately 10,000-square-feet in size, will be one of the largest in the North East. Showcasing hundreds of colorful butterfly species, the Conservatory will be open daily to walk-in visitors and promoted to local schools as a perfect educational field trip destination. Future Treehouse Canopy, Zip Lines, Ropes Course, and Adventure Climbing will be available to hotel guests and members of the public as well.

The open-air amphitheater accommodating approximately 400 people seated on a grassy, tiered surface will offer live music, theatrical events and other cultural happenings. Tickets to performances at the amphitheater will be available first to hotel guests, and then open to the public based on availability.

Upon its completion, the Wildberry Lodge & Spa will be the only recreational and educational tourism venue of its kind in the Hudson
